about

[KOHL 026]

FR/////

The six-tracks album is the experimental artist’s third digital release with Kohlenstoff Records. It features five thoughtfully constructed improvisations and one piece connecting two field recordings from the artist collection, ranging from the noisy fussiness to the patient minimalism.

Alain Lefebvre makes abstract noise using mixers, pedals, amplified objects and lo-fi devices all of which he pushes well beyond their intended use and capabilities. His music is sometimes construed as poetic. He is trained in visual arts and has been performing and improvising live in Montreal since 2011. He regularly collaborate with other artists.
